Fundraising report for January/February 2008

I banked $493 this month-includes December, calendar sales ,sales from table at show and in house comp.

The Christmas raffle raised over $800. Thanks to Vicki and Helen for organizing that.

Fundraising for this year

The main fundraisers for this year will be the raffles at the competitions if we can get someone to help sell tickets on the day, the mother’s day raffle and raffle at Christmas show.

I will do the ice skating table at the competitions and the first Saturday of the month and put stuff on the webshop or ebay.

The entertainment books -come out in June/July.

I will take orders for the international figure skating calendar in August so that I can get them out earlier than December.

Brumby cards still available –the club gets 10% of sales.

The costumes sales and 2nd hand skates will still carry on.

We need someone to organize a chocolate drive in July/August to help with the costs of entering in the Christmas show. This entails sorting approx 180 boxes of chocolates and collecting the money. Please let me know if you are interested as I can’t do this..

We need donations for the Mothers day raffle so please keep your eyes out and pass any prizes to the skate table on Wednesday or Saturday or myself on Thursday.

I am also selling my favorite arnica cream for fundraising. In case you have not tried it, it is excellent for bruises and bumps(don’t use on broken skin)-just what you need for skating. It cost $12 for 60g jar made in Muswellbrook.

We need more skaters to enter the Aussie Skate competitions. I know that it is a long way to travel to Sydney but we usually have a lot of fun at the competitions and you get to know a few people from other clubs..

Ann Jurd has kindly offered to do a skate info table on Wednesday and Vicki and Helen are carrying on the Saturday skate table until the end of the year. Thank you so much
